The Ocean Collective is a pioneering resource center addressing the infrastructure and training needs of our region's Blue Economy. 

The Blue Economy refers to sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of ocean ecosystems. This collaboration between Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) and Commercial Fishermen of Santa Barbara (CFSB), with support from the City of Santa Barbara and the Economic Development Collaborative, creates a revolutionary model integrating ecological restoration, economic revitalization, and indigenous sovereignty.
